Elliot's second release by his quintet Advancing On A Wild Pitch is called "Disasters, Vol. II" with each of the seven originals named after Pennsylvania towns impacted by disasters such as train collisions, toxic smog, police bombings, and industrial accidents.

West Coast song stylist Julie Kelly returns at 12:30pm PT (1:30pm MT, 2:30pm CT, 3:30pm ET). "Freedom Jazz Dance," her new Laurelwood Records CD features jazz, pop, and Brazilian standards by Peter Nero, Sting, Eddie Harris, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dorough and Willie Nelson and others plus one Kelly original. Her laid back velvety voice, inventive phrasings and compelling arrangements were performed by first call L.A. musicians such as pianist/arranger Josh Nelson, drummer Dan Schnelle, guitarists Larry Koonse and Andrew Synoweic plus others make for a beguiling listen.

1:30pm PT (2:30pm MT, 3:30pm CT, 4:30pm ET) ushers in Indianapolis composer, guitarist, educator Joel Tucker with a pair of tasty new albums: Commodore Trio's "Communal," art rock with jazz sensitivities performed and largely improvised by Tucker on guitar, Brendan Keller-Tuberg on bass and keys, and drummer Justin Clark; plus "Live at Chatterbox," a mix of standards and originals by the Tucker Brothers with Joel on guitar, brother Nick Tucker on bass, tenor saxman Sean Imboden and drummer Carrington Clinton,.

At 2:30pm PT (3:30pm MT, 4:30pm CT; 5:30pm ET) Santa Rosa, California / Japan-based vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and practicing internal medicine physician, Eki Shola shines a light upon her fifth solo album, "Kaeru," Japanese for "to return home"; warm electronica, R&B, and soulful funk-jazz featuring hopeful lyrics; a conduit for healing and reflection inspired by Shola's travels to Hiroshima, Lisbon, Addis Ababa and beyond.

At 3:30pm PT (4:30pm MT, 5:30pm CT, 6:30pm ET) it's "Perfectly Spaced," the latest piano-bass-drums-violin quartet led by Chicago pianist-composer Steve Million whose Calligram Records CD goes all out with top flight musicianship and expressive performances.
