THIS IS AWESOME! FINALLY GETS TO REST IN PEACE! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE LT. MANOWN! 🙏

Lone Pine Bus Lines will be providing the transportation for Lt. Jay Manown, Jr’s. family, Preston County Honor Guard, and West Virginia Patriot Guard.

We will be accompanied by a police es**rt from the West Virginia State Police, Preston County Sheriff's Office, Kingwood City Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and Allegheny County Police Department. The Morgantown Police Department will provide traffic control at the Interstate 68 and Route 7 intersections (Sabraton Exit).

Kingwood Funeral Home and Crematory will be driving the hearse with Lt. Jay Manown, Jr.

We will keep everyone posted as to when we will arrive throughout the different points along our journey home. We are honored to serve Lt. Jay Manown, Jr. and his family on his long awaited and final ride home on October 25, 2024.

“As a veteran and great nephew of someone who paid the ultimate sacrifice in World War II, I felt it would be a tremendous honor for Lone Pine Bus Lines to provide the transportation when Bill Benson of the Preston County Honor Guard stopped by our office to inquire about the possibility of us providing a bus for his group”, said Lone Pine Bus Lines’s Chief Financial Officer, Tim Kelly.

“When I was approached by Tim concerning the opportunity to assist with the transportation of the folks involved, it was an immediate mutual decision that Lone Pine would be honored to provide our services to our fallen hero coming home. I hope the State and Community are able to be a part of this long awaited ride home for Lt. Jay Manown, Jr.”, said Lone Pine’s President, JD Mann.

Our motorcoach operator Matthew Feather will be the driver of Lone Pine’s bus. When asked, Matthew replied, “it would be an honor to do so and to assist with bringing home a local hero to his final resting place.”

Thank you to the family and others involved for reaching out to Lone Pine Bus Lines. Our entire team sincerely appreciates the opportunity to assist and serve. Lone Pine would like to thank the team at Sign’s Plus located on Greenbag Road, Morgantown, WV for providing the decals for the bus.

Just did my civic duty and most of all my RIGHT... early voting is easy . Lots of people in line here in Morgantown but goes quickly. Either early vote or on election day.... EVERYONE needs to get out and vote !!!
