Weekdays, we kick the mornings off with music, news, weather and information, along with a healthy dose of (clean!) humor on the Sunrise Show with John. Mid-mornings through the afternoons we offer a balance of Bible study, instruction and encouragement

from both excellent area pastors as well as nationally known speakers such as Dr. James Dobson, Dr. Adrian Rogers and Beth Moore.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Heil family, Paul was a dear friend to the WCIS family and will be surely missed.

Remembering Paul Heil

Singing News has learned that long-time Southern Gospel Music broadcaster Paul Heil passed away during the evening of Sunday, Dec. 27th, following a heart attack.

Mr. Heil, the founder of The Gospel Greats syndicated radio program, has been a fixture in Southern Gospel Music since 1980. During the program's 40 years, Mr. Heil was awarded every radio broadcasting award possible in the Southern Gospel Music genre. In 2014, Mr. Heil was inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Additional information will be posted as it becomes available. In the meantime, please keep Mr. Heil's wife of 38 years, Shelia, and the entire Heil family in your prayers as they respectfully ask for privacy at this time.
