While in high school I choreographed a local long running hit television commercial, took college ballet classes from master George Zoritch at the University of Arizona, and at age 17 graduated early with honors to move to New York City where I received a full scholarship at Joffrey Ballet School. I became a principal & soloist member of Manhattan Festival Ballet, Garden State Ballet, New York The
atre Ballet, performed with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet at Lincoln Center, and made various guest appearances. I danced on PBS television and on film while continuing to teach dance in all its forms throughout the NYC metropolitan area, St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, India, and in New Mexico where I formed & directed Movement Longevity which attracted many students from Mexico who crossed the border to study and perform in recitals. My long mentor-ship with American Ballet Theatre's legendary Prima Ballerina Sallie Wilson, work with modern dance pioneer Anna Sokolow and Michael Jackson's acclaimed choreographer Vincent Paterson, intensive training with icon Bella Lewitsky and works performed by Pina Bausch's ballet mistress Janet Panetta and more have given me vast knowledge which when combined with my passion for dance is contagious. My students have enjoyed my classes in ballet, creative dance, modern, folk, jazz, hip hop and tap as they engage in learning choreography, developing movement from music & feeling, team work, dance and drama technique, plus performance basics, stage rules and theater etiquette. Watching my students grow in a matter of weeks, their confidence, expressiveness and self-esteem knowing they have contributed to the whole, is the success which inspires me!
