We are just a few weeks away from Cody’s Ride, on Saturday March 26, in Cal City and wanted to give you a few updates and reminders.

REMINDER, this year we be set up at a NEW LOCATION near Occidental Street and Rice Avenue. This location is located roughly 5.6 miles West of Hwy 395 and 2.5 miles South of Twenty Mule Team Road. The approximate GPS coordinates are
35.18564, -117.69811

As always, look for the Cody Ride flags and signs, leading you to our registration trailer.

POKER RUN
This year, we will have ONE route for the Poker Run. The route is made up of sand, rocks, whoops, fire roads, and trails. It’s about 35 miles, with 5 Poker stops. There are about 4 short hills to traverse that are somewhat steep with loose rocks. One of the hills has a slight drop off as you reach the top. The entire route will be marked with the usual Green & Yellow Ribbon and Green Arrows.

Please remember the route may be harder for the younger / less experienced riders So we will have a “Bypass” route at the base of each hill. This route can be used to go around the 4 hills on an easy fire road, then you will join back up to the original Poker Run route and continue the ride. The By-Pass may be easier for the younger or less experienced riders participating in the ride. The Bypass Route will be marked with Red ribbon and Red arrows.

LONG RIDE
Our “Long Ride” will be back again this year. We are lucky enough to have Ted Williams (The Founder of Quest Off Road) to lead the group. Ted will be taking you out on a fast-paced ride, but your machine and driving abilities must be in good condition to keep up. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan on following Ted on the Long Ride.

LUNCH
We will start serving lunch about 1:00 pm, near the registration area. Water, beer and soda will be provided. There are tables and chairs for seating, which are first come first serve.

RAFFLE INFO
There are three separate raffles at our event. The raffle for the items on display will start about 2:00 pm and those raffle items will be on display when you return from the Poker Ride.

The tickets for this raffle are $1.00 per ticket, or 25 tickets for $20. Please print your name on the back of the ticket. If a ticket is selected and there is no name on the back of it, another ticket will be selected.

For our 50/50 Raffle, the tickets are $1.00 per ticket or 25 tickets for $20. You do not need to print your name on the back of these tickets; however, YOU MUST HAVE THE OTHER HALF OF THE WINNING TICKET TO COLLECT THE $CASH$.

We will also have Round Trip JetBlue Tickets good for travel to ANY JetBlue DESTINATION. Raffle tickets are $25 per ticket or 5 tickets for $100. You do not need to write your name on the back of these tickets however, YOU MUST HAVE THE OTHER HALF OF THE WINNING TICKET TO COLLECT THE JET BLUE TICKETS.
