2024-2025 Mooreland Community Calendars are now available. Calendars, which run from August 1, 2024, through July 31, 2025, are filled with community birthdays, anniversaries, school activities and club meeting dates. They can be picked up at The Mooreland Leader now and will soon be available at Stride and The Corner for $6.

2024-2025 Mooreland Elementary School classroom assignments and school supply lists, Mooreland school calendar and immunization requirements are in the July 11 issue of The Mooreland Leader. You can pick up a copy at The Mooreland Leader or The Corner.
First day of school is Thursday, Aug. 8.

We need your summer league t-ball, softball and baseball for publication in July. Please email pictures to [email protected] or bring by our office so we can scan by July 5. Include player and coach identifications, record, finish in regular season and post season and league played in.

We need volunteer(s) to step up and organize and run the Mooreland Independence Day Celebration co-ed softball tournament. As of right now the tournament will not be held unless a volunteer or a group of volunteers step forward.
This year’s celebration will be held Saturday, June 29, culminating with the fireworks show that evening around 10:00 p.m. Games would be need to be played around the show and possibly Friday, June 28.

Patties are $6 for five patties. Sausage is $3 per one pound package.

270 Conference Playoffs
Mooreland basketball teams will participate in the 270 Conference playoffs Friday, Feb. 3, and Saturday, Feb. 4.
MHS girls and boys will play in the third and fourth place games in Fargo on February 3. Girls will play at 6:30 p.m. followed by the boys. Opponent for both squads will be loser of Leedey- Shattuck games scheduled Thursday, Feb. 2.
Mooreland junior high girls play in the conference championship contest Saturday, Feb. 4, against Leedey. The game will be played at 4:00 p.m. in Arnett.

Coach Tyler Bates and Mooreland High School academic team will host a Class 2A Regional Saturday, Nov. 12. Other teams participating include Drummond, Oklahoma Bible Academy, Texhoma, Cherokee, Laverne, Turpin, Pioneer Pleasant-Vale and Ringwood. Round one begins at 11:00 a.m. with the championship game set at 4:15 p.m.

Mooreland's Independence Day celebration was capped off with a fantastic fireworks display. The nearly 2:30 minute finale (in video) was a patriotic display of pyrotechnics presented by Mooreland Volunteer Fire Department. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this great day possible.

Mooreland Leader Easter Coloring Contest

Thanks to all who entered our Easter coloring contest. As you can see we had a large number of entries. The judges will have a tough time choosing prize winners. Winners will be announced in the April 14 issue of The Mooreland Leader.
