Due to the forecast for extremely low temperatures at the start of the day, Bement CUSD #5 students will have a remote e-learning day on Tuesday, January 21. A decision regarding after-school activities will be made by noon.

Monticello traveled to SJO to take part in the Christie Clinic Shootout. They defeated Seneca.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, Bement CUSD 5 will be implementing an e-learning day tomorrow Monday, January 6. All practices at Bement are cancelled for Monday.

Our apologies for another change. I forgot I have to work on Saturday so tonight will be our last night! It will only be lights tonight as we are going to take down the inflatables today so they can start the “drying out” process before being packed away. Then tomorrow will be tear down day. So tonight please come by tonight and see the show one last time and grab as many treat bags and candy canes as you wish. Once they are gone they are gone. Thank you

The Monticello High School marching band gave a concert in the parking lot of Maple Point Supportive Living this morning.

Monticello Chamber of Commerce members got a demonstration of the sound system in the Arthur “Buz” Sievers Center at their meeting today.

MHS Band getting ready for football finals!

The Monticello High School band is working hard to get ready to support the Sages football team at the 3A title game Friday. The band will play at the 2:30 p.m. pep rally at the Monticello tailgate tent, be in the stands during the game, and perform at halftime.

Law Enforcement United’s long ride peddled through Monticello today. Just part of a 100 mile ride today, part of a 1,200 mile trip from St. Louis and Washington DC. Washington Elementary students cheered them on.
