The Jasper County Charter School System will provide at-home virtual learning opportunities on Thursday, February 13, 2025 and Monday March 17, 2025. This is due to the amount of instructional time loss during the recent weather event. As these dates were already professional learning days for faculty and staff, students will be provided instructions from their teachers on how to proceed on these days with their learning. No additional dates at this time are to be scheduled. However, if additional days of instruction are missed due to inclement weather and/or other emergencies, further adjustments may be made to the school calendar.

Weather Update: THURSDAY AT 8:30AM
The roads have improved since this time yesterday however we are still seeing lots of icy areas. We are urging everyone to use EXTREME CAUTION driving this morning. Not all ice on the road will be visible and the buildup of brine can also cause slick spots. As the temperature warms up today, we should see continued improvement.

Weather Update: WEDNESDAY AT 7:00PM
As the temperature is quickly dropping all the snow/ice that melted this afternoon is already re-freezing. We are asking everyone to PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADS until later tomorrow. The roads have improved today but there are still many areas that are icy and will still icy through tonight. Especially at night, not all ice on the road will be visible!

We are seeing road conditions improve as the temperature is warming up and the sun is shining, but we are still advising to use EXTREME CAUTION. While some roads have improved, there are many areas that are still icy due to being in the shade. And remember, not all ice on the roadway will be visible! We are still responding to many vehicle accidents and other vehicles getting stuck on and off the roadway. Please continue to enjoy this snow day SAFELY AT HOME.
