A King Air twin-engine turboprop airplane made an emergency landing at Conroe Regional North Houston Airport this afternoon after its landing gear failed to lock into position. The aircraft was en route to Baytown Airport from Naples, Florida, when it experienced a malfunction with its landing gear.
The aircraft was redirected to Conroe, where it landed with damage resulting from the malfunctioning landing gear. However, all three occupants emerged uninjured.
Conroe Fire Department was on site and standing by, 6 minutes and 50 seconds after dispatch received the call at 11:33 a.m.
Conroe Police promptly responded to the scene after receiving the call from dispatch, with officers on site and standing by within 4 minutes.
Texas Department of Public Safety assumed control of the scene at 1:12 p.m.
