The City of Monroe Water Department has issued a 𝐖𝐄𝐓 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 due to forecasted heavy precipitation as the remnants of Hurricane Beryl push north into our area.

During these conditions, water use should be minimized to reduce rates of flow into our sanitary sewer system. If you have experienced a basement backup during any previous heavy precipitation, you should take steps to protect any valuable property by raising it off your floors or other steps to prevent possible water damage.

We don't expect major problems, but we do suggest that our customers pay attention to the weather and take reasonable precautions.

𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: The National Weather Service out of Detroit has issued a FLOOD WATCH to begin Tuesday evening (July 9) through Wednesday, July 10.

This week a lot was done in getting the new MPACT studios finished. These pictures show what was done on Monday. Today studio cameras were assembled and tested, along with control room gear powered up.

Just about everything has been loaded up in the moving truck. Almost ready to move on up to the East side to that great office space on the third floor of Monroe City Hall!

Tear down at the old MPACT location today. Salvaged many of the XLR, CAT5, and BNC cables. Reassembling of the Rewind 94.3 studio furniture over the weekend.
We are unofficially moved-in to city hall.
The unpacking of all the boxed items starts next week.

Please be patient as we get our radio streaming service back on line.
MPACT public and educational TV channels on Comcast 21& 22, Charter 187 will be back asap as we work with Comcast to get reconnected.

Did you hear that MPACT & Rewind 94.3 FM is moving to Monroe City Hall?

Our new location is just about ready for us to move in. This means that there will be some interruptions of our PEG video channels on cable and streamed.

Rewind 94.3 will run on our back-up system at our transmitter site. However, our radio stream will be down for a few days along with our MPACT PEG video channels.

The interruptions are planned to start on April 18 and run through April 26. We are at the mercy of Comcast as they install our new service at city hall.

With so much technology to be disassembled, moved, and reconnected there may be a few hiccups. Please be patient as we are "Moving on up to the Eastside" of M-125!

We are sad to leave the Benesh Building as we have been there since our beginning in 1992.

Travel advisory for I-75 in Monroe County

The southbound I-75 ramp to Luna Pier Road will be closed nightly for maintenance.

Portable changeable message sign (PCMS) will display the following messages:

7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, until 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29
• Traffic will be detoured via I-75, Erie Road, and northbound M-125 to Luna Pier Road.
