Progress in Monroe!

The city of Monroe hasn't seen any growth the past few years, but neighbors and city officials are hoping that could soon change.

New Episode Today! This is the recap of our original pilot about the Historical Green County Courthouse restoration. We talk with Dick Marti about the bell, new clock, and external copper work on the clocktower. It was unbelievable.

In this episode we meet with Maria Johnson, Administrator, to learn about "that place outside of town" that many Green County residents are simply unaware of. There are tremendous efforts being made to dispel the old attitudes about what Pleasant View is and what mission it serves.

We're thrilled to announce that this weekend we received an award at the Wisconsin Main Street's 32nd annual awards dinner!

Last year's summer theme, Cheese Glorious Cheese, received Best Public Placemaking Improvement Project.

This public art installation featured 23 pieces painted by local artists celebrating Monroe and all things Wisconsin. We want to thank all the volunteer artists, volunteers coordinating, and all of the sponsors. Pieces were displayed for over six months starting in May 2022.

Pictured with the award is our executive director, Jordan Nordby, and longtime volunteer, Tracy Hamilton (Heartland Graphics). Tracy has been coordinating the summer theme since its inception in 2011.

This award is given to the municipality or Main Street organization that has designed and implemented attractive and sympathetic improvements to improve the built environment.

The overall scope of the project, involvement of civic partners, and special design considerations were all reviewed as part of the nomination.
