Join us for our annual Partners in Conservation Meeting!!

In the morning, attendees will learn about cover crops, seed selection, trouble shooting, as well as a research presentation on a study of cover crops and compost use in orchards.

The afternoon session will include lunch, an annual report from NRCS, a presentation from our Soil Health Hub coordinator and a round table discussion with farmers and ranchers.

Saturday was a tough, eye-opening day as we tackled a shocking amount of trash along the Stanislaus River at Cost Less in Oakdale. 💔 We filled a city dumpster and are beyond grateful for the amazing volunteers who showed up, rolled up their sleeves and worked really hard to make incredible progress! 💪🏼

While there is more to be done, the volunteer’s dedication to cleaning up was inspiring to say the least. Let’s keep pushing for cleaner healthier waterways!!

Special thank you to , the City of Oakdale, and the Lions Club of Oakdale who fed our hungry workers.

It takes a lot of passionate people to get this kind of work done.

Did you know ESRCD has a garden at our SOILS Center? During the school year we supplement our jr chef classes with this produce! However with the break in classes, we have been harvesting and donating our surplus to FIGS - The Food Initiative of Greater Stanislaus. Today we donated 64lbs of produce!

If you’re gardener and have extra, please consider donating to a food pantry near you. Be sure to call first to make sure they take fresh produce!
