Annndd I’m back just like the greenery turning up all around🌱 Took a little hibernation from my photography, goofball antics & frequent posts to stabilize life a bit. Now it’s time to go bigger, harder, and grander along with bringing more content for everyone to enjoy!

The infamous “Terrible Tilly”🌊

The Tillamook Rock Lighthouse was bestowed this name, Terrible Tilly, after many perilous days (over 500 of them) constructing the lighthouse as well as the workers having to battle the elements while on the job site. In January of 1881, Terrible Tilly started her watch guiding safe passage to sailors yet sadly ended her time on duty September of 1957 due to rough conditions for the light keepers. Even though she may not be helping sailors anymore, the rock area has become safe haven for many sea bird species and sea lions that call this area home

When I first got here, there was still a ton of sea fog hanging around making it very difficult to see more than ~30ft in front of you. So I started walking down the beach enjoying the limited views I could see. All of sudden, as I reached the end of the beach the fog decided to lift and the views of Haystack Rock were EPICCC!
