Happy Sunday!
I've always had a hard time getting photos of the moon that were anything better than a white blob, but a couple online articles, a few YouTube videos, & one full moon later & I finally figured it out 😄 Just in time to realize that this moon happened to be at its furthest point from the earth, so this shot is pretty heavily cropped. But when it comes back around to its closest point later this year, I'll be ready.

As I've gotten deeper into black & white photography, I've found myself scrolling through some older photos & looking at them differently. This has been one of my biggest sellers in my portfolio & I'm absolutely loving this black & white conversion.

Happy Monday!
I hope the weekend was everything you all dreamed it would be.
My photo topic this week was Solo Color. I toyed with a variety of ideas, but with everything being mostly white & gray right now, there wasn't much color to be found. So, I used a colored backlight & shot some snowflakes. The snowflakes were super small this time around, but I did manage a couple good shots. Here's a green one 😄❄️

It's Monday again!
This week my photo challenge was freezing motion. I've shot literally thousands of photos of sports, mostly soccer, so this really wasn't a new concept for me. I decided it'd be fun to try something I'd never done before. This was a challenge, partly because it was messy, but also just getting the correct lighting was complicated. To shoot this fast indoors I needed a ton of light, while being mindful of reflections that could ruin the shots. Also I don't have a ton of experience in setting up still life like this & I definitely overlooked a few details the first time through. But it's all about learning & improving, & I'm pretty stoked about the results.
