This afternoon, we are gathering at the Old Town Hall in Bloomington to celebrate the release of Ron Palmer's new book, "Parkinson's and Other Denials."

Ron comes from the mild streets of Bloomington, where he gets his best ideas for poems when walking his dogs, being greeted by neighbors with "How's it going?" or "not in my yard."

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in May 2023, although he has been known to deny it. His most recent book is Parkinson's and Other Denials. His other book of poetry is Dogged. He runs the West Bloomington/Eden Prairie Poetry Club and every couple of months, hosts a poetry reading for the Minneapolis Television Network that is broadcast on Facebook Live.
