Gov. Tim Walz has called for a special election to fill the late Kari Dziedzic's seat in the Minnesota Senate. A primary election will be held Jan. 14; the special election will take place Jan. 28. Persons who want to run for the office have until 5 p.m. today to file. Scheduled for completion for the end of 2025, water meter replacement in Columbia Heights will start in the western part of the city and move east. Check the map below, red is first and it moves east from there.
