"The Phantom Time Hypothesis," as it is now known, was created by a German historian and CTer named Heribert Illig, in 1991. It claimed that a period of roughly 300 years of European history, particularly between AD 614 and 911, was entirely fabricated by the Holy Roman Emperor Otto III, Pope Sylvester II, and possibly Byzantine Emperor Constantine VII. According to this "theory," these leaders wanted to place themselves at the turn of the first millennium and thus created a "phantom" period of history that never actually happened.

It gained a small following among alternative history enthusiasts, but was universally rejected by mainstream historians, because it was total nonsense.

Before they had 5G, chemtrails, and other fake concerns to worry about, CTers thought radio waves could be used to control their minds. Are you seeing the pattern? CTers continually come up with wrong answers while proclaiming they are the only ones who know what is "really" going on. That is the ultimate form of mind control; the only form that actually works consistently and effectively. Self-delusion.

People who believe that President Biden is the head of a “crime family,” despite the facts, or that Democrats and Hollywood “elites” are abusing and murdering children, are following a long, paranoid, and nonsensical tradition. That’s what the CTer mindset does to people.

The CTer mindset cannot lead you to the truth. This is why there are no admired figures to be found in all of history who were known for their conspiracy “theorizing.” No one ever says, “Thanks to _______, the great conspiracy theorist…” Because CTers have made no noteworthy contribution to any society. Their mindset doesn’t allow it.

One piece of fake history that has become fashionable on the right is the claim that President Kennedy would be a member of the Republican Party or the Conservative Movement, if he were alive today. This is wishful thinking divorced from history. One person who has done more than their fair share to push this misconception is Larry Elder.
