To anyone waiting to raise their shrine as an up and coming Shaman: enjoy this time now. This is your "Frodo" (quoting LOTR) moment as a carefree person. Things changed for me once I had a shrine. Like a responsibility staring at me, and I couldn't go back to the person I was. I joke and laugh now because I overcame it and can see the beauty of it all.

However, it always gets BAD before a ceremony, and you have to have a "hallelujah" moment with yourself to know why you need this to happen. When there is no one else to heal, no one on your side, would you still want this?

Nothing is happening while you wait, then suddenly everything is happening too fast, and you're overwhelmed. Then the day comes, and it happens, and everyone leaves; the storm passes. You're alone again. Your path all depends on you now. It's incredibly frustrating and confusing, but if I had to make the same decisions again, I'd still say yes.

First day in Portland, OR and got to enjoy their food hall (several food vendors in what they call carts). Food selection was amazing and it was a ton of fun. ❤️ My hotel was pretty good (nothing bothered me) and the WATER in Portland is super nice. I have never felt so silky soft after a shower. 😅

Side note: I almost spent my trip at McMenamins Edgefield which I found out was haunted when my whole team shouted that I shouldn't stay there. 🤣
