Lord, help me to wait for the man who will be honored to be my husband. Lord, strengthen my discernment so that I can see false feelings, impure motives and agendas and avoid them. Lord, help me to not fall for the man who says all the right things but never actually backs it up. Father, give me wisdom and help me to know when I'm about to be deceived and provide a way of escape. And Lord, give me the determination to not look back at what you've brought me out of with rose colored glasses, but let me be reminded of what you saved me from and help me to never run back because it appears to be safe. Father, help me to trust you for the man who will be everything the counterfeits were not. Lord, I thank you for my husband and I ask that you will let me see him when he comes. Let his actions tell me that he can be trusted. Lord, when he comes let me know he's real and is of you. And Lord, I repent for saying the dating pool has p*e in it. Lord, in my frustrations, I've assessed this but I know that there are quality men out there and so I know my husband is out there too. Lord, bring us together as only you can. In Jesus' name, Amen.
