Today marks the anniversary of the first time I ever VJd a set on my own. In that 7 years since my first set things have changed a lot. When I started out there were very few women who dared to even try (I only knew of 2) and trying meant putting up with harassment, being judged and being assumed as someone’s girlfriend. Today I look around and there are tons of women VJs and it’s because of this persistence that change has happened. A change that everyone should be very proud of. Making change in a industry is painful it requires really thick skin and being confident in the fact that what you are doing is going to make a difference and change the opportunity for those who come after. I will never stop fighting not only for the respect of women in this industry but also for the respect of visual artists and their art as a whole. I hope you fight with me 💪🏼 and I hope that music artists also help us fight this too! I’m beyond grateful for those who do.

It’s my 30th birthday today and I have to say this year has been wild I got married, I became an aunt, I traveled across the world to Asia, I have taken more than 120 flights, I made tons of new friends, a bunch of my close friends moved to minnesota, I VJd on stage for the first time, and most importantly this year has been filled with love from so many people in my life. I’m blessed and so grateful and cannot wait to see what this next decade holds for me 🥰 I love you all

It’s been a couple months now we have been testing out me VJIng on stage with Val at shows. At first we were doing it cause we just had more fun and it was easier to communicate but after a couple shows we couldn’t go back. We realized that what we were doing brought light to how important visual design and performance is to a show. The fans have been nothing but absolutely supportive. And I have received messages from all over the world inspiring artists. I have also had so many messages from massive artists asking me if I would VJ on stage with them too. What trip. Thank you to everyone supporting this I’ve honestly never loved and felt such intense passion for what I do until now. Virtual Riot

Took the last almost month off of touring this is the first time I have slowed down since touring returned after the pandemic (seriously I’ve only had 2 weekends off in last two years and have been in full time medical school). I took some time away from social media. I spent time working on new content. I spent time gardening. I spent time with friends. I watched TV for the first time in years. I took a break to rejuvenate. I realized that if I didn’t take a break my body was gonna take one for me and it wasn’t gonna be ideal timing. Now I am feeling more excited than ever to be coming back refreshed and ready to create some amazing work. Remember to take a breaks, say no and set boundaries cause I forget this all the time! Thanks for always being there through all of it supporting me. Ily!

I VJ on stage next to my best friend Virtual Riot now and it’s absolutely incredible. I’ve never felt so passionate about making our show look as amazing as possible. I have a dream for the world to see visual arts like they do music and to know and understand how much artistry goes into creating a live experience and for the first time I feel like I am starting to live that dream. We plan out every moment of the show together to bring you through our creative world so I hope you get the opportunity to see it. Being a female in the music industry is so damn hard. You are constantly having to prove yourself rather than having respect. People always question you. And you have likely encountered multiple situations where you were sexually harassed. And to top it off people always assume you have gotten somewhere because of someone you slept with.
In my 8 years of being a VJ I have never slept with an artist I have been VJing for because I never wanted anyone to question why I got to where I got. But it shouldn’t be that way cause no one questions the male VJs if they got to where they got because of someone they slept with 🙄 just remember next time you see a girl killin it the music industry she got there despite all the degrading comments and crap she had to put up with. I shouldn’t have to be defined by anything but the hard work, sleepless nights, and artistry that I put into every show I touch 👌🏻

Over the weekend I celebrated my golden birthday! Thank you so so much for all the amazing birthday wishes and love.
