The brand represents the creative workings of recording artist/entrepreneur Breakneck the Mage (Tyler Franz) and his affiliates. Sonic Swings is a collective of businesses, ideas, artists, and releases that promote individuality and self-expression. We don't control our artists at all, they make the exact music they want and have complete control of all their endeavors. If you are interested in ha
ving me help you, and if your music is dope, show me what you have to offer. Some of the highlights of the collective include a ever growing in-progress record label (Breakneck the Mage, LC Slak, Mr Pizzy, Capaciti, Romes, DJ Six 9INE, Kuley, Salvador Kubrick, Shake, RO, Colin The Troubadour), web design and artist development firm, event booking, flyer/logo design, and promotional services. In July of 2008, we released "Breakneck the Mage Goes to Hollywood" to great regional success. The release garnished notable press on Myspace as well as college radio, local radio, regional and local newpapers, countless hip hop websites, and in November even helped BTM to win 2008 Hip Hop Artist of the Year in Volume One Magazine. The second release came from Eau Claire MC Fathom (Fathom the Album) and had a massively successful local run. In Spring of 2009, Sonic Swings released the follow-up "Breakneck the Mage Is Dead" and in June of that year the debut album from Fathom was released with some help from Sonic Swings. February 2011 saw the release of two more Breakneck the Mage albums (Overdubs & Overdoses, The Misadventures of Breakneck the Mage). In May of 2016 Breakneck released "Protecting Metropolis", both his most ambitous and well-received project up to that point. The album featured production as well as mixing/mastering by Chris Caesar (Out of Bounds)
In 2020, Breakneck returned with a follow up to Metropolis titled "Balance" and released a number of music videos to accompany the project. For info on Booking/Design/Artwork/Web Development/Promotional Services please send an email to [email protected]
