S3-E2 "Teenage Dream"

In this very special episode Samantha sits down with her 16 year old son Hayden and talks about what it is like being a teenager in todays society. We discuss social media, friendships, school, sports and how it really feels balancing life. Life can be tough at all ages. I (Samantha) wanted to give other parents and adults just a little look into what being a teenager really looks like and feels like in 2023. Hayden shares his views and opinions on how much pressure there is surrounding social media as well as having to make big decisions for your future. Samantha and Hayden also share their favorite and not so favorite things/memories about each other, We all know being a teenager is hard and parenting a teenager is hard. We hope that we can shed a little light in both areas and hopefully inspire you to have the same conversations with each other. Thank you for listening!

In this weeks episode Samatha does a solo podcast about Impact and Character. I ( Samantha) have recently been getting asked about a tattoo on my forearm. This tattoo is located on my right arm with the word "Impact" in big bold letters, but the I is replaced with a semicolon (which used as a message of affirmation and solidarity with those who have dealt with su***de, depression, addiction and other mental issues.)

It got me thinking about sharing the "why" I got this tattoo and where the meaning came from and what it really has morphed into. Ultimately being " Our lives are made up of a series of Impact." Then as I was going about my day the word "Character" to mind. One thing I really enjoy is focusing on a word and digging into it on a deeper level. Character is the core of a person. Something that comes from deep within and it causes people to have patterns of behavior.

These two subjects to the plain eye can seem very different, but in reality they really work together as a whole. Impacts happen every day in many shapes and forms whether we want them to or not. Your reaction and response will show your true character in these defining moments. As you listen I share tools I use in my coaching sessions on how you can better understand yourself on a deeper level and start healing these different parts of yourself.

Spring real estate market is HERE! Allie talks about what the market is looking like, interest rates and tells some fun stories from her career as an agent and home staging professional. She discusses the topics of spring cleaning and ADHD. How do you feel about medicating??

Samantha has a wild experience while out for a friends going away party. Which leads to conversations about how to speak up when you see something that feels "off" and how to protect your drink and yourself when you are out and about as a female.

We recap our amazing interview with Dr. Jennifer Freed and how we are STILL fan-girling over it all.

Big things coming up on the weeks to come. We share about the project "Some Hope" that Samantha has been apart of and is launching Friday, April 7th. Please check out "Somehope.care" to donate if this is something you feel called to do and follow our social media pages to understand more as I will be sharing more. Samantha is going on her first podcast for "Seep Talk with Andy Seep" to talk deep and real about trauma, growth and so much more. (we will also be sharing this on our social media)

OH and didn't forget to recap Allie's husbands first trip to Vegas and how Allie sexy surprise goes all wrong. Haha.

!!!Listen at you own risk!!! (Samantha screwed up the audio haha)

For the first time in a long time I messed up and forgot a step while we were recording. So I did my best to make the audio work, because it's such a great podcast. So I apologize now and will NOT be making that mistake again as it took me a long time to fix and still not have it the best quality. LOL Thank you for being kind and understanding that "mess ups" happen.

It’s FRIDAY!!! We’re all about raising those vibrations! Remember to not let anyone get you down today… that’s on them!...

Proceeds will go towards scholarshiping detox beds. We have been able to send two people to detox with our own money but together we can make a drastic impact.

(Our goal is to register as a non-profit)

If you can't afford a wristband we will send you one for free

Help make Avery's wish come true.

These are her words...

Hi, I’m Avery and I’m 9. Last week at school this kid said it was weird that my mom doesn't live with us and his older brother said she was a drug addict. I didn't know why he would say that but I asked my mom and she started crying. She had back surgery when I was little and then she had to leave me and my brother to go get better.

My mom is smart, beautiful and funny. She is in recovery and has been studying addiction for the past few years. She was afraid of drugs her whole life until a doctor prescribed her medication for her back pain. My mom said she was embarressed and sad for years and tried to hide it from everyone. I don't think anyone with a disease should hide or be sad and they deserve a chance to recover.

I saw a show about a guy with cancer that rode bikes and everyone wore a yellow wristband so he could get better. So I decided to sell wristbands for my mom and everyone with this disease so that they have a chance to get better. Maybe if all the kids in school and even celebrities wear them, then people would understand that my mom is not a bad person. If you don’t like this idea, that’s ok too. I understand.

I picked a tire band because my mom is the strongest person I know and I made it glow in the dark because I want everyone to know that even in your darkest moments, you are Worth Saving.

“We love you, we value you and we’re on your side.”

You can wear one to support a person in recovery, someone still struggling, in memory of someone you lost or just to show you care.

You can purchase at the link below❤️

Episode 44: Dear Abby {The Advice Column In A Twisted Way}

In Episode 44, Allie and Sam turn into ‘Dear Abby’. Dear Abby was an American Advice column founded in 1956 by Pauline Phillips under the pen name “Abigail Van Buren” and now carried on today by her daughter, Jeanne Phillips.

Sam picked out some articles...then Allie and her put their own twist on how they would handle the situation if they were in their shoes!

But, at the end of the day... it is just their advice. We all know most of the time we all know the answers deep down, it’s just a matter of venting and being heard.

Do you have a ‘Dear Abby’ question answered? — feel free to email us your submissions at [email protected] Names will always be anonymous but know we are here for you!

We discuss work, kids and the new shows that have us hooked. As we all know we have to stay busy somehow during these cold months.

Lot’s of questions regarding Samantha’s solo podcast and so much outpouring of love and support.. So we talk about the questions that were asked and she shares the things she is doing currently to get out of the the sadness she had been experiencing. She is doing MUCH better!

We love getting to share our lives with you and pass on all the amazing information we are constantly learning.

Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.
