Phillip’s Cottage: a transitional home for women with children in Minden, Louisiana
We were awarded the grant!!!!! If you saw my stories earlier in the week, I was supposed to go to Tulsa Thursday through Saturday to present to the amazing @ladiesof798 seeking grant funding for Phillip’s Cottage, my new nonprofit in Minden, Louisiana that serves to create transitional homes for women with children that graduate from Louisiana Teen Challenge. Sadly, the weather didn’t cooperate and they agreed I could make a video and send. My Executive Director @brandi_cade and I got together and created this plea from our hearts to help us get this project off the ground! And we got word late last night that we were chosen!! We are on cloud nine. I know my dad is dancing in heaven and celebrating with us. I’ll go to Tulsa in April for the official award ceremony and will let y’all know the amount then. We still have a long way to go to make this project a reality. We are stepping out on faith before we have all of the funds.
