As we celebrate our first responders this week, let's honor the memory of one of Milwaukee's bravest on what would have been his 48th birthday.

Dan Limback wanted to be a fire fighter when he was a child. He fulfilled that dream while serving in the U.S. Air Force, and later with the Milwaukee Fire Department.

He eventually became a dispatcher for MFD where he was promoted to supervisor, and eventually manager. He served with the Milwaukee Fire Department for over 20 years.

Dan married his wife, Jane on September 8, 2001 at Frame Park in Waukesha. They went on to have 1 child, JamiAnne.

Dan & Jane loved going to the movies together, and traveling with his family. He also loved listening to active fires, swimming & relaxing in the hot tub, playing games on his computer, going out to eat, hanging out and having great conversations with friends & family. He was a dedicated family man.

Dan received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in December of 2016, within months of his daughter JamiAnne’s salvation. They were both baptized on the same Sunday. After a hard fought battle with cancer, he went to be with Jesus on November 28, 2021 at age 47.

Dan loved Milwaukee, and he served the citizens of our city with honor and distinction.

This precious lady came to be saved today! Great brokenness turned into great rejoicing. Her family has been praying for her salvation for many years and today was her day! She immediately gave the pastor the names of 3 loved ones she wants to see come to Christ! Nothing like it.
