What is up Community?! Today is a beautiful day, a day for expressing. To keep you up to date the magazine is coming along. We have some amazing men and women who are eager to tell the world who they are! We are currently receiving requests to CONnect Us from several states, brothas and sistas of all shades ready for the world to judge them not for what they have been, but for who they are now. We all have made mistakes, some more serious than others, however that doesn't make those whom errors are more severe ,horrible people. Now I must say this, CONnect Us does not endorse ANY crime as acceptable, only the person who is genuinely sincere about their errors and their change! But you see Community, change can not happen alone for those in the system. They need the support of the Community if they are to be released back into the Community as rehabilitated contributors! They need us to give them an incentive to want to be better. How does the Community do this you ask, by first supporting the cause of CONnect Us Magazine. We are not merely asking that you purchase our magazines, but simply showing the love on your social media platforms ; reading some of the bios introduced by our Jailed Birds; reaching out; whatever you think is best to show those who are left abandoned that they are not alone. Not everyone in prison or jail is how they are portrayed to be: evil, rapest, child molesters, with predatory characteristics. Most are just the lowly of us, fallen on hard times, or some who are forced into situations that they can't escape out of fear of death. In the end who are WE to judge that which we don't know or understand?! So I say to you Community, when you are going about your everyday life, look at the faces of your loved ones and realize that any one of them could be a face you see behind glass. How would you want them to be treated in that situation?!
