It’s currently 79 degrees - in Wisconsin at the end of October. Feels like July. Can this weather be traded in for snow? ❄️❄️❄️

I couldn’t wait to run these morning miles because I got to try my new Tracer2 Vest 💛 If you are out in the dark, you need this vest - fantastic illumination and I absolutely love that it has 16 color modes. I’m going to have so much fun trying them all out 🎉

Felt like sleeping in but knew how much I’d regret it if I skipped out. Sleepy at the start but wide awake and motivated by the finish. As always, felt great to get the miles in early ☀️🏃🏻‍♀️

Someone reminded me yesterday that fall doesn’t actually start until September 22. So technically, it’s still summer.

But in my mind, it’s already fall. The leaves are starting to turn, apples are ready for picking and the days are getting shorter.

What do you think? Is it still summer or already fall?

Do you think of the people you see during your runs as your friends?

Even though I don’t know their names, I see the same people every morning and I look forward to the quick hellos. The couple, the woman who looks like Mrs. Bridgerton, the two older guys with the reflective vests, the cute guy with an even cuter dog, etc, etc.

We may not be running together, but at the same time we are running together. Slightly different paths but all getting in our miles. All moving forward ❤️

A few random Tuesday thoughts:

I wonder why they changed one of the main character’s name in The Perfect Couple. Like, why is Amelia better than Celeste? 🤷🏻‍♀️

How many more days of morning miles do I have until it is completely dark from start to finish?

Do I need another pair of Hokas? My closet tells me no but … MAYBE???

How come Monday-Friday is endless but Saturday-Sunday goes by in a blink of an eye?

Today’s miles were runch miles! It was toasty outside but actually felt kind of good to sweat it out.

Something I like to do when I’m keeping my effort easy is sing along to whatever music I’m listening to. If it becomes too hard to get the lyrics out, I know I need to take it down a notch 🎶

What tips do you have for keeping easy efforts truly easy?
