It appears the remnants of Debby are tracking farther to the west as we head into Friday. We'll still see occasional showers, possibly heavy at times. Rainfall amounts will be higher to the west with lighter amounts at the coast. It appears the remnants of Debby could track to our west, along the I-95 corridor, Friday into Saturday. This would bring occasional rain, heavy at times, and winds possibly gusting over 40 mph. Especially along the coast. The forecasted rain totals have come way down, in the 1 to 2.50" range. This could change again if the track of the system changes. -Bob T.

On Aug. 3, at about 11:06 p.m., an officer from the Ocean View Police Department (OVPD) observed a gray Hyundai Tucson speeding eastbound on Atlantic Avenue. Anglers are preparing to cast their lines and set sail as the annual White Marlin Open kicks off on Monday, and John Leucas eagerly anticipates the event every year.

Protesters gathered in Georgetown Monday to speak out against the consideration of a conditional use application for an offshore wind project.

One of the biggest competitions on the coast is back, the White Marlin Open. Watch here to see what's expected from this years fierce fishing pursuit.

Celebrate the agriculture Delmarva has to offer this weekend, or if you want to watch athletes or artists, there are plenty of cool things to do. Mallory Metzner reports:

The town of Dewey Beach has been leasing the Dewey Beach Patrol Station on Dagsworthy Street from the state for years. The town has been working with Representative Schwartzkopf and Secretary Bullock of the Delaware Economic Development Authority for almost a year to transfer the property to the town.

DNREC announced Friday the detection of West Nile Virus (WNV) in sentinel chickens for the first time in 2024. The virus also draws concern for local horses. The state’s Department of Agriculture urges horse owners to take precautions.
