A good article on what to look for in a recording studio.

These days budgets are tight, and if possible, you should do as much prep at home as you can before spending time and money in a professional studio.

At Luscious Moss you can expect a comfortable environment, the ability to get LOUD, and plenty of gear to work with including drums and amps. More importantly though is who you are working with. All the gear in the world doesn't help if you don't know how to arrange a song, get tones, or mix a record. I have 25 years of experience in a multitude of studio environments and can help with musical decisions, as well as technical aspects.

Recently, “Strangers On Your Radio” came in the studio to do a demo. We ended up doing a 5 song demo from start to finish in under 12 hours. That’s a well rehearsed band!

We are now using the very latest version of Pro Tools studio (v. 2022.12) on an M1 MacBook Pro! We’ve also added an additional 8 channels of high quality preamps for larger sessions, and Torpedo Wall of Sound plug-in for mind blowing guitar cabinet simulations directly from your amp (using the Torpedo re-load hardware)
