Something just occurred to me this morning that I never considered before: Jesus, in explaining the greatest commandments, said to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. And to love our neighbor AS OURSELF.

Hmmm... I'd always recounted these commandments as "loving God loving our neighbor." I never considered the "as ourself" part. It's really crucial. It's a part I've left out for most of my life, and I know many others have too.

Thoughts?

Bill Walton, who won two NCAA titles with UCLA and two NBA championships during a Hall of Fame career, died Monday at age 71 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
