I’m Back: A New Chapter, A Renewed Fire
To every woman who has ever felt the weight of life sit heavy on her shoulders… I see you. I’ve been you. And today, I return to this space not as the same woman who once wrote here, but as a stronger, wiser, and more determined version of her.
It’s been over a year since I’ve posted—and trust me, I didn’t plan for that. What started as a short pause turned into a season. A season where writer’s block held my voice hostage. A season where life started “life-ing”—you know, throwing curveballs, distractions, burdens, and unexpected delays.
There were days I opened this page, stared blankly & felt defeated because I had nothing to give. Not because I didn’t care, but because I was drained. I was navigating through storms I never saw coming. I was healing. I was surviving. I was growing.
But here’s the thing: in the midst of it all, God was still writing. Even when I couldn’t. Even when I felt stuck, the Author of my story was still at work.
And now? I’m back—with a renewed fire and a deeper understanding of grace, purpose, and perseverance.
This space is for you, sis—the woman who’s tired but keeps showing up. The dreamer who’s doubted herself. The believer who’s wrestled with the wait. The nurturer who’s poured into everyone but herself.
You are not forgotten. You are not behind. You are not too late. You are in process—and process is holy ground.
Let this post be your reminder:
It’s okay to start again. It’s okay to rise slowly. It’s okay to bloom quietly.
I’m back to remind you of your power, your beauty, and your God-given purpose. Together, we’re going to speak life, walk in truth, and lift each other higher.
Thank you for sticking with me. Thank you for coming back. Let’s grow together—boldly, beautifully, and unapologetically.
With love and fire,
Marquita Y. Johnson
