Brandon Cochran, or ‘Sourdough Brandon,’ as he’s known to his fanbase of nearly 50,000 followers on social media, will be coming to the Millbury Public Library to host a sourdough starter workshop from 6-7pm on Wednesday, February 25.

“Much of my work is online, so I love meeting followers and other bakers face-to-face and [sharing] my passion of sourdough baking with others,” Cochran said. “I look forward to coming to Millbury as I’ve been in many other towns nearby.”

On Friday, January 2, the Grafton Police Department (GPD) arrested a 27-year-old man on charges related to the operation of an illegal ma*****na cultivation facility in a residential neighborhood.

Grafton Police Chief Neil Minardi said that the department believes this operation is a part of something much larger, but he’s glad that the GPD has dismantled it.

“Anytime we can put an end to an operation like this and hold those responsible for it accountable is a positive impact on our community,” Minardi told The Grafton News.

Brickstone Kitchen in Sutton—a cozy, family-owned restaurant that has something for everybody—was co-founded in 2018 by Justin Bonner, an Air Force veteran who cooked for fellow Airmen in Bulgaria, and his father-in-law Anthony Joseph, who has over four decades of experience in the culinary business.

“Being so involved in the community and having such great staff and guests makes it all worthwhile,” Bonner said. “It really does take a village.”

Wanda Bien, the town’s conservation administrator, has decided to call it a career after two and a half decades of service to Sutton. Her career was marked by an impressive steadfastness—even working through two bouts of breast cancer.

“I think [my favorite part was] working with the people,” Bien said. “[Sutton] has been my second home for 25 years… I’ve seen a lot of people come and go, and I’ve had a lot of friends. Everybody’s great to work with.”

Earlier this month, Millbury Police Sergeant Christopher Polselli appeared on Milford’s radio station, MyFM101.3. Polselli was brought on to talk about his role in the charitable, community-driven ‘Fill-A-Cruiser’ toy drive, put on by the Millbury Police Department (MPD).

“It just has been a massive success, and [it’s] incredibly rewarding to have a mechanism that can drive a Christmas for a kid that may not otherwise have received many gifts,” Polselli told the Chronicle.
