Last night I had an opportunity to go down two paths. One, I could have blown up and yelled at my 3 yr old and the other was to choose compassion. I'm so glad that's what I chose!

I used to always hear parents tell kids to "respect their elders" which is important, but the problem is the elders never respected the kids first to show them what respect even looks like.

We spend so much time as moms worried about our kids getting hurt, but I never expected my 3 year old to give me a concussion from a headbutt! 😳🥴😅

After spending entirely too long trying to figure out how to say this in the most perfect, simple and sweet way I finally realized I shouldn't strive for perfection in my content because I am not perfect!

I am just a normal mom trying to help other normal moms and give yall some useful and wholesome content. I can't pretend to be anything I'm not so here we go!!!

Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.

My name is Victoria and I am a stay at home mom of 3 amazing children.

I have a 12 year old, an almost 3 year old and a 4 month old baby.

I also have a pretty awesome husband that I don't know how I would live without.

I am a certified Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, but I never really pursued it as a career. I found out really quickly that having to call people to make sure they were sticking to a healthy lifestyle just wasn't for me....
..probably because I wasn't very good at it myself. 🙃

I knew I wanted to do something to help people, but it had to be authentic to me. Nothing that I could come up with felt quite right over the years, so I didn't pull the trigger on any of my ideas.

Until now.

I will go into more detail in my next post about the specifics of my intentions for this page and what you can expect if you decide to join me here.

The way my mom was depended greatly on her current "state of mind" (drug use). I have been a little bit of a permissive parent but gentle parent is definitely my goal I work towards. I don't love the term gentle parent because people just assume it is the same as permissive parenting. Proper position/alignment makes a huge difference in those first few weeks nursing your baby. For any moms who have used a pump, Think about it in the same way as if you put a pump on at a weird angle. It hurts! I used this method with my 1st born and she was an excellent sleeper. She slept through the night from 3 months on. My 2nd born I decided to ditch this method altogether, we had no schedule and only chaos. He clusterfed constantly CO slept and had to nurse to sleep and nursed constantly through the night. 3 years later he still doesn't sleep through the night. With my newest baby I am following this method as closely as I can with all of the chaos of life. I have found a way to make it work well enough for me while still being able to care for a toddler. He naps well and sleeps in his own bed for the most part. As always the most important advice is to trust your gut and figure out a way to make whatever method you choose work for you! #babysleep #sleeptraining #babyschedule #routines #babies #momtips
