This might become the first of a series showcasing some of the mostly non techno music that I listen to. Starting things off is a bit of synthwave, a style I've been into for a couple of years. This is called Pale Blue by Rogue VHS. It features snippets from the famous "Pale Blue Dot" speech by the late Carl Sagan. It manages to be melancholy and optimistic all at the same time. I keep coming back to this from time to time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Dear Record Labels & Distribution Companies,

I'll preface by saying that I'm extremely grateful and privileged to be getting promos. I'd like to offer a word of advise. It seems that releasing ever increasing amounts of music on an album is becoming the norm. Just this week I was sent two albums each containing over 20 tracks. The vast majority of the music on each release is very good. And there lies the problem. One of the main goals of my radio show is to feature the widest variety of music possible. I avoid playing more than two releases from any record label on a show. By putting out so much music all in one go you are guaranteeing that not all of your music gets played. Why not put out smaller albums released over time? At least for me, this would give your music a much greater chance of being played. Am I missing something?

Here is the January 31, 2024 episode of The Vault Radio Show. This makes 28 continuous years that the program has been on the air in some way or another. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the record labels, distribution companies, and artists who send me their work. I consider it a privilege to be among the first to play your music. I'd also like to recognize all of the people who have contributed guest mixes to my show. I really enjoy being able to bring your sound to my area. Thanks also to all the good people at WESU Middletown for giving me a prime time slot. Most of all, I'd like to thank YOU for listening to my show.
