Life's Purpose
Think deeply or fleetingly about your life experiences. Think about the people in your life. Think about the feelings you have felt in your life. What if you were meant to have every single experience, emotion, involvement with those people just as events unfolded? Would you look upon those things differently if you knew they all had a real, a true purpose… if they all were part of your purpose. Every choice we make takes us down a life path. Every choice we did not make avoided or missed another life path. You even have the will to choose how you feel about all of it. You, we, I can choose to feel love or anger or appreciation or resentment or wonder. We can choose to change those things others tried to teach us or direct us toward, if we want. You have the power to do this.
We might now have some huge, fancy purpose. Our purpose might be to just live the life we have now… to do what we are doing now. Go with your gut. Do what makes you happy. Live in the way that pleases you. Be grateful and appreciative of your life, your breath. There is always something to appreciate. Instead of considering what might have been, what you do not have, or waiting for something else, what is happening now that you can appreciate?
These things crossed my mind recently, and it suddenly dawned on me that I was supposed to experience all that I have experienced thus far. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the fun, wonderful blessings. We can’t have light without darkness. We wouldn’t know good without bad in comparison.
What have you experienced, felt, chosen? What is your purpose? What are you doing right now this minute, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year? What do you want to do?
If we all did what made us happy, then we would all be happy. If we all lived our passion, we would all be delighted. It is not selfish to do what you want, what makes you happy, what gets you excited about life. Why? Because you will then share this pleased, happy, excited self with those around you, and maybe they will smile too.😃
