is one of my favorite bands, so I was pretty excited to get a call from to help mix Panda Bear’s latest solo album in Atmos 🙂

“Sinister Grift” is an awesome record and features all the members of Animal Collective and many other great guest musicians. It was meticulously done, with the significant challenge of re-creating the layers of analog mixing and mastering processing to produce the same feel in the Spatial version as the stereo master. It was released yesterday, and I’m seeing great reviews on Pitchfork, NPR, the Guardian, even the Wall Street Journal (I didn’t realize they covered music).

It was an honor working with Domino Recording Company on this, and doing the Atmos mix with producer Josh “Deakin” Dibb and fellow immersive mixer Ted White.

We did it - my Maryland Music crew snagged three World Entertainment Awards in Beverly Hills California last night including Song of The Year written by !

I love seeing the artists I work with succeed.
