On behalf my fellow Commissioners of the Social Status and our Criminal Justice Sub-Committee, we would like to give our most sincere thanks to all of our guest speakers. LaPorte County Prosecutor John Lake and Deputy Prosecutor Mary Lake took time out of their schedules and came out. Prosecutor Lake was kind enough to provide insight into how our preliminary justice system works, and how it affects our community. Thank you to Commissioner Brett Kelly for his intuitive presentation about diversity and inclusion in employment. We would also like to thank Mr. Tommy Kulavik for his assistance in presenting our banner during our meeting, raising his fist in solidarity with us and his continued willingness and support.
