Gregory John Norman is known as much for his entrepreneurial spirit in the boardroom as his dominance on the golf course. He was born on February 10, 1955 in Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia. He played rugby and Aussie Rules football while growing up but became hooked on golf at age 15 after serving as a caddie for his mother. His first golf instruction came through Jack Nicklaus’ book, Golf My Way, and after a mere 18 months, Norman played to a scratch handicap. At the age of 20, Norman continued to concentrate on his golf game while working as a trainee in the Royal Queensland Golf Club. In 1976 at the age of 21, he turned pro and won his first professional event, the West Lakes Classic, the same year. He served as Captain of the ‘International Team’ at the ‘Presidents Cup’ twice in 2009 and 2011.

His vigorous golfing style, physical built, blond hair added with the local coastal animal of his birthplace, the shark, earned him the nickname, ‘The Great White Shark’. Greg Norman now transcends the game of golf, with over a dozen companies around the world bearing his name and the iconic shark logo as part of the Greg Norman Company, which he leads as Chairman & CEO.

Greg Norman earned more than $1 million five times on the PGA TOUR, including three Arnold Palmer Awards as the Tour's leading money winner – 1986, '89 and '94. He was also the first person in Tour history to surpass $10 million in career earnings. But his crowning achievements are British Open Championships in 1986 and 1993.

Throughout his life, Norman’s philanthropic efforts have quietly raised millions of dollars for charities, including CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, which for over two decades has been the primary benefactor of Norman’s PGA TOUR sanctioned event, the QBE Shootout.

Mission Hills Country Club ofrece una experiencia de golf única, con tres campos de golf muy diversos diseñados por algunos de los nombres más importantes en el diseño de campos de golf. Los tres campos tienen seis lugares de salida que permiten a los jugadores jugar en el campo al nivel de comodidad deseado.

El primer campo en Mission Hills fue diseñado por Desmond Muirhead y abrió hace 50 años en 1971. El segundo campo fue diseñado por la leyenda del golf Arnold Palmer e inaugurado en 1979. Se añadió un tercer campo en 1988, y originalmente se llamaba Dinah Shore Course, pero en 1994 se cambió el nombre a Pete Dye Challenge.

Es la casa del Dinah Shore Tournament Course, clasificado como el campo de golf No. 1 en Coachella Valley y el lugar del primer Major en la gira LPGA - ANA Inspiration (anteriormente conocido como Kraft Nabisco Championship) que se está disputando actualmente.

The ANA Inspiration is one of the five Major championships of professional women’s golf. It’s an event on the LPGA Tour, and is held yearly at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California.

The tournament is not only is celebrating its 50th Anniversary of the event in 2021 but it has also returned to being the first Major of the year!

Last year, the ANA Inspiration was postponed to September due to the coronavirus pandemic. That also led to some top golfers not participating, including Jin Young Ko, who was the defending champion.

While the tournament is back to its regular April dates, fans will once again not be in attendance. Still, it will likely be an exciting weekend of golf with plenty of strong competition in the field.

Chet Williams of the Nicklaus Design Group was hired to design the best course in Texas. Twenty months later, in March 2000, Whispering Pines Golf Club opened its doors, and as golfers found their way, rave reviews ensued.

Whispering Pines debuted as the 3rd Best New Private Course in the nation by Golf Digest. Since 2006 Whispering Pines has held the #1 course in Texas ranking by the Dallas Morning News.

Whispering Pines has also been recognized as the #11 overall Greatest Golf Retreat in America by Golf Digest and in 2009 became ranked as one of the Top 100 Best Courses America by Golf Magazine. Golfweek Magazine ranked Whispering Pines as the #45 Modern Course in America in 2010.

Se convierte así en el segundo campo de golf afiliado a la of America en Iberoamérica, y el tercero en el mundo fuera de EEUU.

El PGA Ocean's 4 está situado en el residencial turístico Playa Nueva Romana y cuenta con dos campos de golf. Tiene un recorrido de 7334 yardas repletas de diversidad y modernidad con varios ambientes que combinan diseños de hoyos tipo Parkland, Links Escocés, Desert y otros de inspiración caribeña.

República Dominicana apuesta fuertemente por el golf como actividad turística complementaria y esta nueva relación con la "PGA of America" eleva su nivel de excelencia, convirtiendo al país en un gran destino para practicar este deporte.
