*A note from The Brickell Reporter
Nowadays when the effectiveness of newspapers is questioned, creating the buzz for the print version, and linking it with a newspaper’s website, is a tricky game. For the print is always the dream, the tangibility of the paper allows one to cut out and save an article of great significance; one can frame it, or even draw all over the pages and toss it out. A web
site can never give the same satisfaction to a reader who loves to hold the newspaper, and feel the ink brush onto their fingertips (whoops – not our paper!). In turn, the website nourishes the insatiable longing for information in a way the print version cannot. To stay connected to one’s community at all times of day, in all manner of settings, is irreplaceable. And so, drawing this connection from the newspaper to the website, and vice versa, is the fight of print newspapers. A fight The Brickell Reporter finds worth taking risks and making mistakes for, because the desire to provide something different is stronger than the fear of failure. Finding a place in the community is a matter of persistence, courage and sympathy. If we have peaked your curiosity to enter our site, then mission accomplished!
