Say "hello" to Forest & Beyond! They're an outdoor provision store all about inspiring adventure.
They needed visual clarity and help to identify and reach their audience.
Dote worked to help them dig into their goals, understand their vision, and put together an entire brand for them! This includes not just the visuals (take a swipe through to see print ads, store graphics, and hang tags) but also the language they use, how to reach their customers, and how to level up their marketing to reach their target audience.
Here is a sneak peek at some of those more abstract parts of their brand that came together to create the visuals you see:
🎯 Target audience:
1. 🧑🤝🧑 Young “outdoorsy” people (ages 25-35) who have the flexible income to devote to their outdoor hobbies.
2. 👪 Families with children ages 8+ who go on hikes together.
3. 🪹Empty-nesters/retirees getting back into their outdoor hobbies to share with the next generation.
🎯 Target audience location:
1. Social media primarily Instagram and TikTok, podcasts, and email marketing.
2. Social media, primarily Instagram, streaming services after bedtime, and email marketing.
3. Email marketing, Facebook, and word of mouth.
📍Regionally specific: The owners found a great spot for a billboard - it’s close to a state park turn-off! We’re doing some brand awareness billboards there initially, then potentially expanding to more product-specific billboards.
Brand keywords: outdoor, adventure, go, and beyond, more, forest, inviting, park, quick journey, long hike, fishing, camping, hunting, all are welcome, it’s everyone’s outdoors
👓 Vision: Families getting back to nature. All ages enjoying the outdoors, sharing traditions, making memories, and connecting with each other.
🚀 Mission: To help people enjoy the outdoors by giving them great quality gear that they love to use. Using Forest & Beyond gear customers get professional advice and recommendations so they can enjoy the outdoors worry-free.
❤️Emotional Inspiration: That feeling when you’re looking out over the overlook you just hiked to: it takes your breath away. That feeling when you see those brown signs on the highway signifying a park nearby…and you just HAVE to stop and go to it. That feeling of “adventure is out there”. We wanted it to have a “the mountains are calling” vibe but also not exclude fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. That feeling of being totally satisfied and proud when you achieve your outdoor goal.
