Diner patron Larry got me beautiful Telstar items as a gift and a few other folks jumped in...and....I had it all framed. British 45, Canadian 45, American 45, British sheet music, American sheet music......just beautiful. NOW....Joe from Queens sent me a picture sleeve...which I wish I'd had when I had this done. But it will be framed on its own..and will sit to the side of my beautiful collection. Thanks to Joanne for suggesting I design this, when I had no idea what to do with it all!!! I listen to that record everyday, at least once. It makes me so happy inside......

After many weeks of planning for a gathering in our Miami studio this coming Sunday.....and many people making plans to be here....all our studio events in the Miami space were cancelled due to the mid-week hurricane. At the time that decision was made, the storm's significance was still unknown...and it turned out to be awful for a good chunk of the state. Miami was not impacted. But we have staff that would have had to travel to the studio and we didn't know if that would be reasonable...so the event had to be cancelled...for now. It is my hope and prayer that we can reschedule the gathering for another date....soon. I can't wait to gather with Diner patrons in person. I'm so sorry for this unforeseen inconvenience.

This week on the Jukebox Diner.....the first 85 minutes will be dedicated to a conversation with Jimmy Webb. Yes...I ask why Richard Harris said "MacArthurs" with an 's'......Yes, I asked if Galveston is a veiled anti-Vietnam song...and we found out how Didn't We was written....and that Didn't We, MacArthur Park and The Worst That Could Happen are all about the same woman! And loads more. Get to know this incredible song craftsman....and, then....around 9:30PM ET....we'll jump in to the usual silliness on the phone and via Facebook Messenger...and e-mail....as we prove that the next best thing to listening to music.....is....talking about it!!!!!!! See you Sunday!!!!

Ask me if I'm excited about tonight's show? Yes, I am!! Burton Cummings...one of the greatest voices in rock history....his solo work and The Guess Who....all just stupendous.....will join us to talk about what he's been up to...about his upcoming tour....and he as big as nerd as we are when it comes to oldies!! Except when you ask him what label something was on, he comes up with the Canadian record company. Annoying! But we love him SO much.
