The entrepreneurial spirit is strong in my youngest child. However he is a bit of a pushy ice cream salesman for 9am.

Instead of asking if I would like ice cream, he says "you want ice cream!" 😆

Maybe I need to use that tactic when selling my services 🤔

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours!

I am very thankful for a business that allows me to be present with my family, clients who help support my family, kids who bring joy to my life (even when they lurk on zoom calls with clients), and a husband who supports me through it all!

Something you may not know about me.. I was an art major at with a focus on Communication Design and a minor in Art History.

I was a very shy and introverted person before my time at SIUC. I chose there for school because it was far enough away from home but not too far. It felt like a safety net but I was also able to challenge myself. Plus it was one of the few schools in 2006 that offered a program that I was looking for and I fell in love with the campus.

I am still an introvert but I'm also not afraid to put myself out there if the situation calls for it. I credit my time there for being able to become the person I am today.

A virtual assistant can help you maximize the time you have in a day. The task can be social media posts, email campaigns, creating a PowerPoint presentation, updating a website, data entry, and so much more!

You might think, "but it will only take me 15 minutes or an hour to do." Which may be true, but what could you use those 15 minutes or 1 hour? Could you apply it to another area of the business?

It is so hard to delegate tasks, but it can maximize the 24 hours that are in the day!

One thing I'm trying to be better about is taking care of myself. I'm married to a wonderful husband who I share 2 kids with. One of those kids is turning me into a sports mom with all the activities she's interested in. And I also run a business that takes a lot of my time.

So even if it's a quick 30 minute lunch while I'm out running errands, I will take it. Especially if I get to enjoy some delicious nachos at

Happy National Black Cat Day to my furry assistant!

This is Stevie. She is 16 (almost 17) years old and is a little 4-5 lb queen in our home. She keeps us on schedule when it comes to feeding, enjoys all the sunbathing and snuggles.

Late last year she was diagnosed with kidney failure but she hasn't let it stop her. We are thankful for some fantastic family who help us find the best food to keep her with us as long as we can.

This morning we finally got a chance to get to the Peoria Riverfront Market. It's one of our favorite things to do in the summer as a family. My husband and I love to get coffee from CxT Roasting Company and the kids love to get a waffle from Waffle Pop. And can't forget the hot sauces, jams, and spices from BlackBeard Canning Company and of course cheesecakes from Triple Dipple's.

We were able to get lots of veggies and are already making plans for how to use them for dinners.

Tuesday mornings this summer have been watching my girl in gymnastics. I see a whole lot of determination and strength as she learns something new.

I'm thankful for a flexible schedule to be present for these moments. And of course a smartphone that allows me to send messages, check emails, and make a post or two if needed.

Got the kids to bed, showered, now it's time to get some social media posts done for my clients. With the help of my cat assistant on my left hip and a twix for a treat.

It was a busy day with a client call, discussing the upcoming month of social media content, then getting my daughter ready to play baseball tonight.

At night is when I get the bulk of my work done. It's quiet and I can focus.

I love having a low-key mothers day with my husband and kiddos. Watching them play in the yard, practice baseball, and read my book.

The past few weeks have been nonstop between a serious infection in my daughter, doctors appointments, sports activities, meetings, and lack of sleep.

The slowness of the day has been much needed.

Another day, another work call. Today featured one of our cats jumping on my lap and my daughter's red panda stuffed animal. They are great helpers and make for some fun in between business discussions.
