Catch the exclusive premiere this Sunday, December 8, at 7pm on Louisiana Public Broadcasting and WLAE-TV! An excerpt from this compelling documentary is featured in the Cabildo’s exhibition, Rodrigue: Before the Blue Dog. The film will re-air at 9pm on WLAE-TV.

From his iconic Blue Dog series to vivid portrayals of Cajun culture, George Rodrigue’s art captured Louisiana’s essence. This WLAE-TV and LAE Productions film tells his incredible story—from a New Iberia childhood to global acclaim.

Thank you to the New Orleans Film Festival for selecting Blue: The Life and Art of George Rodrigue as part of the festival lineup for 2024, and a special thanks to everyone who voted our film as the Southern Feature Audience Award Winner! We are thrilled and truly humbled to receive this honor.

If you missed seeing the film at the NOFF, the broadcast premiere is on WLAE-TV on December 8th. The film will also stream on PBS next spring.
