Here is a tunnel that I took a shot of in California. I believe it was in New Port. Since the tunnel has an unsettling feel to it I went with a Dutch shot. The colors are hardly seen due to the dark feel of the shadows directing our eyes to the silhouette of the 2 subjects give us an amplified feeling that something is unsettling. The halation and the light rays adds to the drama and yes I am a sucker for the 35mm 400T film grain with the opacity up to 100% added to the cinematography! Lastly, the angle of the shot is close to the ground and using the rule of thirds by placing them to the left side of the shot added weight to it. It was as if the 2 subjects' silhouette and the pronounced shadows on the left side were tilting the Dutch angle shot for me. I really like this shot!

This is a short clip of our hike this Saturday. Got to admit I almost passed out but I was determined to get to the top! So I did not pass out and made it to the top. My son caught a chuckwalla lizard. The funny part was that everyone stopped him to see the lizard, LOL I think his name is Fred.

Today I needed a word form God as I was listening to my Pastor and Bishop preach I was encouraged, so I felt it in my heart to edit a video that would expresses the way I felt the message it in my soul and in my mind. The sections of each preaching that I got encouraging word are in the video. Also I felt to invite you to church if you would like to come and worship with us

This picture gave a Hollywood old school vibe. So in deciding to create the cinematic look I decided to use complementary colors yellow and blue and chose to have a low saturation to give it a vintage feel. I added my favorite film grain, the 35mm 400T and the skin tones are inspired by the old school tv shows, not sharp and grainy with a hint of glow.

Here are some of the other shots that I took for my son’s birthday invitation that did not make the cut. These pics reminded me of a mobster action pack movie so I decided to color correct, grade and edit them to look like a movie poster. The boys liked this so much, I was thinking of printing them into a real poster for their room.
