Somewhere in a cow pasture in Lauderdale County at the end of a dirt road that crosses a railroad track stands a small, unassuming building that to the casual observer looks to be the home of a farmer and his family. But if the observer takes a closer look, they will see large broadcast towers about 200 yards away and they will also see large metal letters painted red and leaning against the build

ing spelling out “WMOX.” The four-foot tall letters mark the place where the heart and voice of Lauderdale County lives. WMOX will always be a place to express opinions. Whatever happens, when we are done, you’ll know “What is going on in Meridian."

Breaking the 5 year old has been found safe in Center Hill !!!

09/22/2021

The child has been found and is safe. (see latest post on my page for the update)

4:00 a.m. Update - 5-year-old Henton Dean is still missing. Search teams have been in the woods searching throughout the night. Officials say there’s been no sign of the missing child since he was last seen. Dean was with two dogs and they have also not returned.

The helicopter that was originally scheduled to assist in the search was grounded due to weather (it was supposed to come from Montgomery, Ala.). MHP is now supposed to assist in the search using their helicopter this morning.

1:00 a.m. - LEMA Director Odie Barrett says at least four search teams are in the woods searching for 5-year-old Henton Dean.

Barrett says a team from MEMA has been using drones to search for the child. There is also a helicopter joining the search.

If you live in the area of Center Hill Rd, Grissom Rd and Haguewood Rd and have game cameras, surveillance cameras or any other sort of security camera, they ask that you review them to see if they might have captured images of 5-year-old Dean.

Dean has bright blonde hair and was wearing a gray shirt and khaki shorts. Two golden retrievers were with him when he went missing. Barrett says they have not seen the dogs since.

Dean was last seen just before 6:30 p.m., Tuesday on Center Hill Rd in the area of Grissom Rd and Haguewood Rd.
