Ingredients
For the Salmon Bites
1 lb salmon skinless
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp olive oil for frying
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
2 tbsp butter
6 cloves garlic minced
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
4 tbsp honey
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
Instructions
1. Use paper towels to pat dry the skinless salmon fillets, then cut them into bite-sized cubes.
2. Place the salmon cubes in a large mixing bowl and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch. Toss gently to coat evenly.
3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of oil. Place the salmon pieces carefully into the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
4. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside.
5. Using the same skillet, melt some butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about one minute until fragrant. Then add sesame oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and white wine vinegar. Stir the mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
6. Return the salmon to the skillet and gently toss to coat the pieces in the sauce evenly. Cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
7. Allow the salmon bites to cool for 2-3 minutes. Serve warm and garnish with chopped parsley for a finishing touch.
