The 2024 National Wood Flooring Association/Hardwood Floors Magazine Flooring Expo had an aspirational theme this year: “Raise the Bar."

Held in New Orleans, LA, the NWFA Expo featured an awards ceremony, dozens of technical demonstrations and a second-line jazz band.

The first time The Mantel Shoppe founder Ronald Leopard built fireplace mantels, his “shop” was a spare room in his house and his “customers” were his friends.

Almost 40 years later, The Mantel Shoppe is still creating beautiful hardwood fireplace mantels and Ronald’s son and current The Mantel Shoppe owner, Nick Leopard, said that the current shop is 40 times the size of that spare room.
