Hey Thrillseekers! We’re thrilled to share that we’re wrapping up The Ballad of Crestwood Blues backup story, and the artwork looks absolutely AMAZING! Big shoutout to Guilherme Raffide for bringing this story to life. We’re also putting the final touches on the shoutout "Missing Wall" page, so keep an eye out for your name if you backed the Kickstarter!

🎸 Blues Spotlight: Otis Rush! 🎤

Otis Rush was a true pioneer of the blues and one of the most influential guitarists of his time. Known for his intense, soulful style and left-handed, upside-down guitar playing, Otis helped shape the blues scene and influenced countless musicians around the world. His impact is felt deeply in Memphis.

Otis’s incredible talent earned him a spot in the Blues Hall of Fame, and he’s ranked #53 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. His hits like “Double Trouble” and “All Your Love (I Miss Loving)” are still celebrated as classics, and his passionate, mournful sound continues to inspire blues and rock musicians alike.

We’re proud to honor his legacy and pay tribute to his contributions to Memphis music and beyond.

🎶 Spotlight on Memphis Blues Legend: Bobby "Blue" Bland! 🎤

Born in Rosemark, TN, and raised in Memphis, Bobby "Blue" Bland is one of the true pioneers of modern blues. His smooth, emotive voice and unique blend of blues, gospel, and R&B helped shape the sound of Memphis. From hits like “Ain’t No Love in the Heart of the City” to “Turn on Your Love Light,” Bobby’s soulful influence echoes through the music we love today.

Here’s a fun fact: This photo of Bobby Bland was actually the inspiration behind the Thrill Variant Cover of Memphis vs. Zombies #1! As we head into our final week of the Kickstarter, we want to pay tribute to this Memphis legend whose music continues to inspire us.
