Deckland Promo, is a White American male who is the father of the Promo Family, and is a factory supervisor. He served in the military in his youth so that he could avoid the violence of gang activities that had the attention of many young people. Deckland had a tough childhood, but had great parents. When he left to serve in the military, he did it to get away from the complications of poverty, gang violence, and injustices that effect so many communities around the globe. Plus, Deckland grew up in a predominantly Black neighborhood where the challenges are even tougher. Deckland is a pleasant looking gentleman, 5’10, slender build, and that the ladies go wild over when they see him. He is completely dedicated to family life, but works hard, and he is a great husband that has always stayed loyal to his wife, and very active in his children lives.
Karen Promo, is a White American female who is the mother of the Promo Family, is a Real Estate Developer who works very hard. She is also a homemaker and is very active in her children’s lives. Karen is very beautiful and fell in love with Deckland when they were in high school. She has stayed dedicated to Deckland throughout their marriage. Karen does not worry a lot and is always the voice of reasoning in the family.
Caroline Promo is a White American female, 14-year-old teenager and now is in Jr. High School. She has been complimented on her beauty so much that her friends sometimes beg her to participate in Beauty Contests. Although she knows that she is beautiful, she is not conceded about the way she looks. As times become hard and the economy drops significantly, she seems to be knowledgeable about the change of times. Although she knows that tough times are about to happen, she still gets teary eyed after the tough times arrive. She is also a headstrong teenager that naturally knows how to break down a tough situation and defuse any heated problem. She loves God and trusts Him totally for everything.
Jason Promo, is a White American little boy that is around 9 years old, a nice little boy that believes in the gifts of Christmas. Jason always advises the family to leave cookies for Santa, but he also tells them that they will never get a great response from Santa without the milk to wash down the cookies. Jason always backs up the little league baseball coach as the miniature team captain.
The whole Promo family depends on God as their guide and as their protective shield.
(Nosy) Betty Reed, is 64 years old Black female and is one of the neighbors to the Promo Family. Betty Reed, is considered the nosy neighbor that continues to snoop and medal into people’s personal affairs. Mrs. Betty Reed is not the nosy neighbor that everybody takes her to be, but is an old fashioned Christian woman that is concerned about what is going on, not only in her neighborhood, but in the rest of the world as well. She is a highly intelligent lady that held a 4.0 GPA throughout her college tour and later became an inventor. Mrs. Betty is a very wealthy woman that if given the chance, will show some genuine heart felt generosity to anyone that is in need. Although Mrs. Betty is very smart, she shows her concerns to the other neighbors that makes it seems as if nosy. Mrs. Betty Reed gives it up to God and gives God all of the glory.
Alvin Reed, is a Black American male who is a retired U.S. Marshal and around 67 years of age, about 6’5”, muscular build, and has been known to fly off the handle. Alvin loves life, but he takes everything too serious. Although he likes to have fun with his wife, he always took his job serious. There is nothing more important to him than family. Alvin is not fond of the way his wife (Nosy-Betty Reed) is so affectionate towards the neighbors and strangers when talking about the Lord, but he does believe in God and His word. Alvin is a well-dressed gentleman and the ladies go wild over his muscular build.
Johnny Mass, is a Black American male who is the mailman in this story. He seems to never smile and always have this strange look on his face when people ask him questions. Johnny talks extremely proper, but people keeps on reminding him that he was born in the deep woods of Mississippi, so he always sounds angry he stopped his life quest at delivering the mail. Mr. Mass is around 41 years of age, about 5’10”, and is always looking for something different than delivering the mail. He is fair looking man that women compliment him in regards to his looks, but they also look at him as if he is a monster because of his tendency to get smart with people.
