These chairs are adorable but to Rug or not to rug… that is the question today. I absolutely adore our kitchen nook. It’s a versatile space that can be dressed up for formal occasions or kept casual for everyday use. To me, it’s simply everything I love in one cozy corner.
When considering whether or not to include a rug in a kitchen nook, there are a few factors to keep in mind. A rug can add warmth and a sense of comfort, making the nook feel more inviting and visually appealing. It can also help define the space, especially in an open floor plan. However, there are practical concerns as well. Given that the kitchen nook is a dining area, spills and crumbs are inevitable. A rug in this space might require more frequent cleaning and could potentially harbor stains or odors.
Ultimately, the decision to use a rug in a kitchen nook depends on one’s lifestyle and priorities. If you value a cozy, defined space and are willing to put in the extra effort to maintain it, a rug can be a wonderful addition. On the other hand, if ease of cleaning and maintenance is your top priority, you might prefer to keep the floor bare.

Happy Sunday! Inspired by my daughter’s coffee table with the black and white accents , I wanted to share some tips on adding a touch of black and white/cream to your space. To create a chic monochromatic look, start by choosing a base color—black, white, or cream even brown—and then layer different textures within that palette. For example, you could add black and white throw pillows to your sofa, or a cream-colored rug to anchor the space. Mixing in different metals like gold, silver, or bronze can add a touch of glamour and keep the monochromatic scheme from feeling flat. Think about incorporating metal accents through light fixtures, picture frames, or decorative objects. Just try to add at least 3 of the metals in that color family.
Remember to play with patterns and textures to keep the look interesting. A black and white striped blanket, a cream-colored velvet cushion, or a metallic vase can all add depth and dimension. Have fun!

Hey y’all hey! I invested in my skills today and attended a Bloom n Bubbles event in Memphis. Your girl is ready to make some floral arrangements. It was fun! Food was great! Champagne was flowing and yes I learned a thing or two or three and many.

Met some cool people. And wait, I know we are in Memphis but when my neighbor heard a pop she almost jumped off of her stool. They kept the champagne flowing so much the bottle pops were music to my ears but shots in the streetz to my neighbor. Just kidding. It gets me too. 😂😂😂 Next time we should say popping bottles. Antyway” back to my lovely floral arrangement. Ya girl did that and I’m looking forward to the next one
