Check your almanac for a precise time but for us here in CST it will be 8:53am. Where do the moon names come from? Most of these names trace their origins to indigenous American peoples, who observed each moon cycle as sacred and unique. What will you call Luna this month?

Folklore from the STORK card in the Wicked Tales Lenormand by Monica Bodirsky:

The myth of changelings seems to have originated in Celtic and Germanic and Scandinavian countries. The idea was that a troll, or fairy would steal a human child, and replace it with one of theirs. Often when the healthy baby was stolen, a sickly faery baby was given in exchange.

Some speculate that it was the original hidden people who were sneaking into the human realm and others say it may have been a way for less enlightened people to explain children who are born differently-abled.

In some instances, a stick or a piece of wood was exchanged for the human child, and the glamour magic of seeing the child would later wear off... revealing the awful truth.

There’s so much I could say about it this card because… that horseshoe was found on the ancestral property that once belonged to my 5th great-grandfather, who was a blacksmith and made horseshoes and mule-shoes, in addition to wagon wheels and other various metal items. So sometimes I read this card and think “ancestors,” or “forging,” even though the keywords are about good luck. Just remember: The cards are yours, and you can read them however you want to.
